HISTORY:
The Rockford Sportsman's Club (RSC) was founded in 1945 by sports and outdoor enthusiasts from the Rockford area. From its early meetings in the Rockford Community Cabin to the present, RSC has grown to its current membership of over 200 families. We are located on Northland Drive just north of 13-Mile road with approximately 40 acres of land. Our club-house, shoot building and other facilities have been built through many hours of volunteer labor by active members.

CLUB FACILITIES:

RSC features a clubhouse with modern kitchen facilities and a main meeting room to accommodate approximately eighty people. The parking lot was paved in 1997, as part of the upgrading of all our facilities. A new shoot building was recently finished providing a comfortable place for shooters and their families to relax between rounds. This structure has bathroom facilities and is heated in the winter. Shooting facilities include a skeet field, a trap field with a wobbler option and a combination skeet and trap field. Our 100 and 200 yard rifle range has covered shooting positions. The pistol range has covered shooting positions and benches for the 50 yard targets and the 25 yard, six station (stationary or timed & rotating) targets. All ranges and fields are lighted for evening shooting. Handicapped access to the 25 and 50 yard pistol range is provided. Adjacent to and behind the 200 yard rifle range is the “Cowboy” staging area containing a large area with a common shooting line and two individual shooting lanes currently under development.

All ranges are open seven days a week for member use during established shooting hours, which are 10:00 A.M. to 9:30 P.M.. Ranges may be closed for certain club activities and rentals.
